/Description
This three-piece gilt bronze garniture is a tangible homage to the Rococo language of the Louis XV era, rendered with the confidence of a later age. At its center stands the mantel clock, rising from a swelling case adorned with asymmetric scrolls, acanthus foliage and shell motifs; a putto crowns the dial while a bearded mascaron face anchors the lower body, marking the points where the casting work grows most intense. Flanking it, a pair of multi-light candelabra carry the same foundry vocabulary upward, their curving arms held in measured symmetry. Across every surface, light moves through the warm, layered glow that distinguishes fine ormolu, the gilding rereading itself with each shift of shadow. Garnitures of this kind once crowned the mantelpieces of nineteenth-century European salons, where clock and candelabra were conceived together to lend a room a single, unified cadence.
